This limited-edition decoupage tray began as a summer painting made during a long, thirsty drought in my garden. The zinnias had gone still, the sunflowers were bowing, and the air felt like it was holding its breath.
I titled the original painting “MidSummer Garden’s Dream,” imagining the plants dreaming of rain, renewal, and cooler days.
Now releasing this work in autumn, the piece takes on a new meaning.
The swirling leaves, the shifting colors, the soft edges — it has become a quiet celebration of change.
A reminder that we are always moving from one form to another.
One season to the next.
One version of ourselves into something new.
